<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div>We are seeking a highly motivated research assistant to join the Decision and Action Laboratory headed by Professor Matthew Rushworth and the Motivation, Decision and Neurostimulation lab headed by Professor Miriam Klein-Fl&#252;gge.&#160; The laboratories investigate the neural mechanisms of decision making, motivation, and social cognition.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The post is full time, fixed term for 12 months and is available from 1st October 2024.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The post-holder will carry out research related to the laboratories&#8217; interests and collaborate with other researchers in collecting and analysing fMRI and behavioural data collected both on-line and, in the laboratory, using a range of techniques including fMRI, TMS, TUS, and behavioural testing.&#160; Experience in the use of these techniques is essential.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The main duties of the role include data collection and analysis, recruiting subjects and organising testing schedules and being responsible for general laboratory management and administration. They will also contribute to scientific reports and journal articles and the presentation of data/papers at conferences.&#160;</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The successful candidate will hold an MSc level degree in physiology/neuroscience/psychology-related subject with experience in cognitive neuroscience research and knowledge of the cognitive neuroscience of decision making. With the ability to manage their own research and administrative activities, they will be independent, self-motivated, and able to work collaboratively in a team.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The closing date for applications is midday on 29 July 2024.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Applications for this vacancy are to be made online.
