**About the role**
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Chalcogenide
Indoor Photovoltaics to work under the supervision of Professor Robert Hoye
for a period of up to 24 months. The project involves developing chalcogenide
nanocrystals and thin films into indoor photovoltaics and is funded by a UKRI
Frontier Grant, awarded through the 2021 ERC Starting Grant scheme.

**About you**
Applicants must hold a PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science or
Engineering (or be close to completion), prior to taking up the appointment.
The research requires experience in nanocrystal synthesis, thin film
fabrication, and proven success in photovoltaic device optimisation and loss
analysis.
The duties will include testing hypotheses, analysing and reviewing scientific
data, and managing your own academic research and administrative activities,
including small scale project management, and coordination of the multiple
aspects of the work in order to meet deadlines.
The post will be based in the Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory, Department of
Chemistry, South Parks Road, Oxford, OX1 3QR and is available from 1 October
2024.
