**About the role**
Applications are invited for a Postgraduate Research Associate in Biocatalytic
Reductions to work under the supervision of Professor Kylie Vincent for a
period of up to 12 months. The project involves developing and exploring
biocatalytic approaches to reduction of unsaturated nitrogen-containing
functional groups and is funded by the European Research Council and the
BBSRC.

**About you**
Applicants must hold a Degree in Chemistry ( **or be close to completion** )
prior to taking up the appointment. The research requires experience in
analytical chemistry, particularly proton NMR spectroscopy for product
analysis. Ideally you will have experience of biocatalysis and hydrogenation
reactions. You will be an effective team-worker, be able manage your own
research and administrative activities and have excellent communication
skills.
The post will be based in the Department of Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry
Laboratory and is available as soon as possible.
