<div><strong>About the Role</strong></div><br>
<div> </div><br>
<div>The University Joinery Service Assistant is an interesting and varied role working alongside a dedicated team of craftsmen. The primary function of the post is to carry out general housekeeping duties across the Joinery Service work-space, rest area and external locations in accordance with instructions and guidelines from the Joinery Service Manager.</div><br>
<div> </div><br>
<div>To collaborate with and support the other Joinery Service team members in their day to day activities, which shall include but not be limited to manual lifting, attendance at the site of works and driving a university supplied motor vehicle.</div><br>
<div> </div><br>
<div>To support and collaborate with the staff of other Estates Services Division teams and sections as instructed by the Joinery Service Manager. Also, to support with basic joinery tasks, including basic decorating.</div><br>
<div> </div><br>
<div><strong>About You</strong></div><br>
<div>This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to work in a friendly, busy and supportive team and enjoys working on varied assignments with dedicated and professional colleagues.</div><br>
<div> </div><br>
<div>Successful candidates will possess inter-personal skills required to relate to a wide range of people, and be approachable. A positive “can do” attitude and flexibility of approach to daily work tasks is essential and the role requires a sound level of organisational and time management skills. Good communication skills and attention to detail are required. </div><br>
<div> </div><br>
<div>As a member of the University Joinery Service team, the role can involve contact with a wide range of people across the collegiate university and therefore the post holder should demonstrate a professional work ethic and attitude, with a keen focus on excellent customer service.</div><br>
