Candidates with a good degree in psychology are invited to apply for the post
of Graduate Research Assistant at the Department of Experimental Psychology,
University of Oxford.
The post-holder will work closely with Professor Anke Ehlers on research
evaluations of psychological treatments for posttraumatic stress disorder and
social anxiety disorder, including therapist-assisted internet-delivered
cognitive therapies and their roll-out into the NHS.
The successful applicant will assist in the administration of clinical trials
of psychological treatments for posttraumatic stress disorder and social
anxiety disorder, liaise with trial therapists and participants, edit training
materials for a therapist training website and online therapy modules, liaise
with web developers and users of the internet-delivered therapy, interview
participants, and assist with data entry and analysis.
The post is fixed-term until 31st March 2026 with the possibility of an
extension to 30th September 2027 when the funder confirms the additional funds
available.
Applicants should have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, good
understanding of computers and software, knowledge of statistics and
experimental design. Prior experience with PTSD and/or social anxiety disorder
is desirable.
