<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div>We are seeking to appoint a Programme Officer to join the Pandemic Sciences Institute (PSI) Policy and Practice Research Group, at the Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford. The research group undertakes applied research to support policy stakeholders and funders for improved policy development and evidence-informed decision-making around research for infectious diseases with a particular focus on low-and-middle-income countries (LMICs).</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Dr Alice Norton leads the PSI Policy and Practice Research Group and is the PI for this project. The role will be overseen and line-managed by Daniela Toale, the Programme Manager.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will be working closely with the Programme Manager and colleagues in the PSI Policy &amp; Practice research group as well as maintain strong working relationships with collaborators, consultants, and key stakeholders to support the smooth and effective operational and financial management of the group. You will assist the Programme Manager in managing and keeping up-to-date the programme plan and project management tools, as well as support in financial and technical reporting to funders. You will manage domestic and overseas travel arrangements for research group colleagues, liaising with other relevant administrative staff as required, and arrange and attend meetings, calls, and events; producing agendas and minutes where required.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>To be successful in this role, you will be educated to A-level or equivalent with experience in administration or project management. You will have excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential issues and suggest solutions, and excellent IT skills for creating and managing information, including experience using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You will also have the ability and willingness to actively contribute towards improving innovative ways of working and support managing projects and research programmes.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Applications for this vacancy are to be made online and you will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your online application.
