Applications for this vacancy closed on 17 October 2024 at 12:00PM
Oxford University Department for Continuing Education (OUDCE) is seeking to
appoint a Senior Course Administrator to organise and deliver residential
summer schools, short courses, and projects aimed at international students.

**About the role **

The role will involve being the sole administrator for a number of programmes
which include courses held during the academic term as well as the summer
period, both residential and non-residential.

As the Senior Course Administrator, you will be responsible for both the
preparation and delivery of the programmes and will carry out a range of
duties. These will include, but are not limited to, answering student
enquiries, liaising with tutors to ensure course details are correct and that
contracts are prepared and processed correctly, setting up course websites on
departmental systems, maintain up-to-date and accurate data using departmental
systems, and to register students in person on the day the courses are held.

During the summer, you will be expected to liaise on a daily basis with
principal tutors, programme directors, course tutors, college conference
teams, and summer school assistants to ensure the smooth running of each
programme.

Whilst you will generally focus on the administration of your own portfolio of
courses, you will be required to be flexible in supporting other colleagues in
the team and across the Department, as and when required.

This is a full-time/part-time (FTE) position, available on a permanent
contract.

**About you **

You should have a solid background in student administration, with excellent
organisational and time management skills.

You will be experienced in the preparation and delivery of residential summer
schools for international participants, as well as short courses and other
events. You will have considerable experience of coordinating events in person
and responding to queries by email, as well as face-to-face and over the
phone. It is essential that you will be comfortable interacting with a diverse
range of people of all ages and nationalities. Experience with financial
arrangements such as preparing course budgets is also essential.

Flexibility is important, as you may be required to take on additional
administrative responsibilities related to course administration. Strong
attention to detail, a collaborative working style, and the ability to manage
multiple tasks efficiently are crucial.
