<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div>We are seeking to recruit a Research Support Assistant to join the dynamic team based at the Botnar Research Centre. The purpose of this role is to contribute to the work of the Dakin Research Group by working as part of the multidisciplinary team and within a personal scope of clinical practice, to collect human tissue for ethically approved research projects.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The post-holder will take an active role in the research studies portfolio involving human participants, ensuring that human tissue samples are collected in accordance with research study protocols and in compliance with the Human Tissue Act 2004 with particular reference to the regulations on the acquisition and management of human tissue for research.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>A key responsibility of this role includes assisting in the identification of potential study participants eligible for musculoskeletal studies through the screening of patients on NHS clinical databases, as well as assisting with the provision study information to potential participants. You will also contribute to the day-to-day operation of research and data collection activities and, if required, perform clinical assessment, collection of blood samples and study specific investigations in within your scope of practice and in accordance with study protocols&#160;</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>As a Research Support Assistant, you should hold a healthcare qualification or equivalent level, along with up to date mandatory training modules required by the NHS. Relevant clinical experience in a clinical setting, preferably an operating theatre environment, is essential. You must demonstrate excellent attention to detail, high standards of accuracy, and proven administrative skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>This is a part-time fixed-term position.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The closing date for applications is <strong>12 noon on 12/11/2024.</strong> Applications for this vacancy are to be made online.
