Applications for this vacancy closed on 20 November 2024 at 12:00PM
The Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences seeks an enthusiastic
**Research Assistant** for the opportunity to develop their expertise in Motor
Neurone Disease (MND, also known as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, ALS, and
the related disorder frontotemporal dementia, FTD) through their engagement
with an established internationally-leading programme of neuroscience research
led by Dr Alexander Thompson, Professor Martin Turner and Professor Kevin
Talbot. You will be responsible for the provision of research support for the
Motor Neuron Disease research group, contributing primarily to cohort studies
involving remote data collection (using wrist-worn accelerometery and remote
iPad-based cognitive testing) and biomarker analysis.

The post offers the opportunity to become proficient in biofluid sample

lateral sclerosis) and frontotemporal dementia. As such the post would be very
suitable for a bioscience graduate who is considering going on to study for a
doctorate in neuroscience. The post requires excellent organisational skills
and attention to detail.

Please see the below 'Job Description' for further details on the role,
