Salary: Grade 8: £46,485 - £55,292 per annum with possible extension to
£60,321 with an oxford university weighting of £1,500 per year (pro rata)

University of Oxford Development and Alumni Engagement, is seeking a Senior
Development Executive to join the Social Sciences team as the lead fundraiser
for Oxford’s Department of Politics and International Relations (DPIR). This
is an exciting new role, working alongside world-leading academics to create
new research and teaching around issues such as democratic resilience,
political leadership and geo-political stability.
**About the Role:**
In this role you will be expected to liaise with senior academics to shape
fundraising propositions and to spend the greater part of their time
identifying and meeting current or prospective donors, raising £1m+ each year
in philanthropy. Working closely with academic and administrative colleagues
in the Department, along with colleagues in the wider Development team, you
will be able to clearly communicate complex ideas to potential donors that
align with the University’s strategic goals.
**To Be Successful You ’ll Need:**
The successful candidate will be an experienced fundraising professional with
a strong track record and a confident approach to achieving ambitious income
targets. You will be an excellent communicator who possesses diplomacy and
creativity, as well as the ability to operate in a large, complex institution
with multiple stakeholders. An interest in the Department’s research and
teaching areas will be crucial, however no academic background in the field is
required.
