Candidates with a good degree in psychology are invited to apply for the post
of Graduate Research Assistant at the Department of Experimental Psychology,
University of Oxford.





The post-holder will work closely with Dr Graham Thew on clinical studies of
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions within NHS Talking Therapies
services. These studies aim to understand how patients approach and engage
with CBT, with a particular focus on how patients use the time in between
therapy sessions, and how we might provide meaningful and effective support to
patients in these intervals.





The successful applicant will assist in the administration of clinical studies
and trials of new digital interventions to support CBT delivery in the NHS.
They will help to develop materials to inform people about the studies, manage
study datasets, and assist with activities to involve patients and the public
in this research.





The position is fixed-term for three years in the first instance, with the
possibility of renewal.





Applicants should have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, good
understanding of computers and software and a knowledge of statistics and
experimental design, as well as the ability to work well within a team and
independently. An understanding of CBT interventions and experience with
editing videos and/or websites would be an advantage.
