Oxford University Sport delivers health and fitness activities to students,
staff and the local community, supports recognised Oxford University Sports
Clubs and leads the strategic direction of sport and physical activity within
the Collegiate University.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Duty Manager to join us on
a fixed term basis until 31 March 2026 to cover a period of maternity leave.

**About the Role**
We are looking for a suitably experienced and qualified professional to join
the Sports Department team as a Duty Manager working throughout the entire
Complex at Iffley Road. As a senior member of operational staff, you will
provide full support to the General Manager and team in leading the day-to-day
operation of the Sports Complex and contributing to the delivery of quality
service provision.
Duty Managers work on a well-balanced shift rota which includes evenings,
weekends and early mornings. Working hours are an average of 36.5 per week
over a set 2-week shift pattern.
Owing to the nature of this position, any offer of employment with the
University will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service
(DBS) check.
**About You**
• Experience in a leisure or sports environment, including junior staff
management experience.
• Current RLSS NPLQ, First Aid at Work and Pool Plant Operator Qualifications.
• Ability to create and deliver accurate and appropriate verbal and written
communications.
• Flexibility to work unsocial hours
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Willingness to act as key holder
