<div>The Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach department (UAO) provides a stimulating and challenging working environment. Our work is varied and can be broadly divided into four areas: the admissions process and policy development, student recruitment, course information and guidance, and access and widening participation.</div><br>

<div>The UAO department operates a hybrid working environment. The regularity of office and working from home days will be discussed as part of the interview process, with the expectation that 2-3 days per week will be in the office.</div><br>

<div><strong>About the Role</strong>  </div><br>
<div>The Head of Outreach post will join an existing UAO outreach community, who design, develop, deliver and review outreach programmes and events to fulfil the University’s ambitions to widen access to Oxford. This role will lead a newly formed team in the delivery of outreach events that are tied to the University of Oxford’s Access and Participation Plan (APP), including and not limited to Oxplore Home of Big Questions www.oxplore.org, Oxplore Teach www.oxplore.ox.ac.uk, the Oxplore Festivals and Oxplore Communities. The UAO has an existing Outreach Delivery team, delivering other UAO programmes highlighted in Oxford’s APP and student recruitment activity. It is essential that the Head of Outreach leads their team to be collaborative and supports the department’s outreach work, as a whole.</div><br>

<div>This is a highly operational and logistical based role that leads the delivery of outreach programme activity which can be either face-to-face or digital or a blended approach, as well as relevant grant-giving activity. The role will enable the effective delivery of outreach programmes that meet specified aims, objectives and outcomes, and are delivered within agreed business cases, resources, budgets and timeframes.</div><br>

<div><strong>About You </strong></div><br>
<div>•       Extensive experience of delivering events (in-person and online) within the field of widening access and recruitment in higher education</div><br>
<div>•       Strong leader and experience in the management of a team</div><br>
<div>•       Highly organised with an ability to manage priorities and workloads</div><br>
<div>•       Adept at conveying information (verbally and in written form) and applying a personable and diplomatic approach to communications</div><br>
<div>•       Experience of setting and managing a budget(s) and reviewing and understanding expenditure reports</div><br>
<div>•       Have an analytical and methodical approach to investigating problems and resolving issues. </div><br>

<div><strong>Sponsorship and Right To Work</strong>  </div><br>
<div>This role meets the criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa. The University will meet the cost of the Skilled Worker visa and NHS surcharge for applicants that require a visa.  </div><br>
