<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div>We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the experimental study of hydrogen fuel injection to join Thermal Propulsion Systems research group at the Department of Engineering Science (Central Oxford). The post is funded by EPSRC and is fixed-term to 31st March 2026.&#160;</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The position serves the Oxford and JLR led &#8220;Centre of Excellence for Hybrid Thermal Propulsion Systems&#8221; which aims to establish Jaguar Land Rover, UK industry, and UK academia as the world leaders in hydrogen thermal propulsion system science and technology. You will be responsible the delivery of high-quality data on spatial and temporal development of hydrogen jets injected into high-pressure and temperature shock-tube environments.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You should possess (or be near completion) a relevant PhD/DPhil in engineering, computational sciences, physical sciences, or mathematics, together with sufficient specialist knowledge and hands-on experience in the CFD simulation of internal combustion engines, and in particular in-cylinder fluid flow and combustion, to work within the planned programme of research.&#160;</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Informal enquiries may be addressed to Dr Martin Davy (email: martin.davy@eng.ox.ac.uk)&#160;</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>For more information about working at the Department, see www.eng.ox.ac.uk/about/work-with-us/&#160;</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Only online applications received before midday on Two Weeks can be considered.
