Research Assistant and Lab Manager

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div>We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant/Lab Manager to work with Professor Bernhard Staresina in the Memory and Sleep Laboratory. The laboratory investigates the interactions between episodic memory formation and brain dynamics during sleep.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The post is full-time and fixed-term until 31 Dec 2026 in the first instance, with the possibility of an extension dependent on funding.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Currently located in the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, Experimental Psychology will be moving to the new, purpose-built <a rel="nofollow" href="https://lifeandmind.web.ox.ac.uk/">Life and Mind Building</a> a multidisciplinary research and teaching facility due to open in the summer of 2025.&#160;</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The post-holder will be expected to carry out administrative tasks pertaining to lab management as well as research related to the laboratory&#8217;s interests and collaborate with other researchers in collecting and analysing data.&#160;&#160;</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The successful candidate will hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in psychology, neuroscience, physiology or a related discipline.&#160;&#160; They should have experience in cognitive neuroscience research, behavioral data collection and analysis and using MATLAB. They will be self-motivated and able to work independently but will also need to work collaboratively with those involved in the research.&#160; The ability to manage their own research and administrative duties is also required.&#160; Knowledge of cognitive neuroscience of memory and/or sleep and experience of conducting sleep/polysomnography studies would be desirable.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Closing date for applications is midday on the 28 April 2025.&#160; It is anticipated that interviews will be held in mid-May.&#160;</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Applications for this vacancy are to be made online.
