School and Pandemic Sciences Institute is looking to hire one **Pandemic
Sciences Research Fellow** in within one of four major research areas. The
post is available till 31 March 2027 with possibility of extensions beyond.
**What are we looking for:** We are looking for a Research Fellow to join our
vibrant research environment at Oxford. The Fellow is expected to perform
independent research on a topic of mutual interest, publish this work in peer-
reviewed scientific journals, and represent the group at external scientific

**How to apply:** We ask that you clearly indicate which area you’re applying
to (AI & Epidemiology, Phylodynamics & Human Mobility, Climate & Infectious
diseases, Global health digital data science), as well as your preferred
starting date. We are looking to hear what major scientific question motivates
you and how you’re hoping to answer it within 2-3 years and in partnership
with our research group (2 pages max., research statement). Please also submit
a statement of interest describing your previous experiences that shaped your
scientific interests and how you plan to use this opportunity to advance your
own career, as well as contributions to the scientific community that
demonstrate good citizenship, commitment to health equity, and communication
skills (2 pages max., personal statement). Lastly, please supply an up-to-date
academic CV. Applications for this vacancy are to be made online via our
e-recruitment system.
The University of Oxford is committed to equality and valuing diversity. All
applicants will be judged on merit, according to the selection criteria.

hold interviews in June. The post is full time.
