This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading department recognised internationally for its rigorous and valuable research and be a part of a thriving wider Professional Services Staff team dedicated to providing an excellent service.</div><br> <div> </div><br> <div>The successful candidate will report to the Department’s Finance Manager, and to the Deputy Finance Manager on some tasks. You will be expected to work with some autonomy, prioritising and managing own workload as necessary. In addition, you will be responsible for the processing of financial transactions including purchases, expense claims, payroll claims and sales invoices, also financial monitoring and reporting in specific areas including research allowances made available to academics; various project and award budget; and financial compliance.</div><br> <div> </div><br> <div>It is essential that you are educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent, numerate, with good attention to detail and have previous financial experience. <div> <p></p><div>The Department of Politics and International Relations (DPIR) is seeking to appoint three full-time fixed term Departmental Lecturers in International Relations. The successful candidates will provide teaching and supervision for the Department of Politics and International Relations at the undergraduate and graduate level and contribute to the Departmental examining and graduate admissions processes.</div><br> <div> </div><br> <div>The Departmental Lecturers will contribute teaching and examining in the subject of International Relations at the undergraduate and graduate level; participate in Departmental administration; contribute to the examining and admissions processes and conduct independent research in their field of specialism. In addition, they will organise specific areas of the syllabus and provide teaching and supervision for graduate and undergraduate students in politics and related papers broadly conceived.</div><br> <div> </div><br> <div>The successful candidates will have an appropriate range of teaching experience and the ability to provide excellent teaching to high-achieving students at both the undergraduate and graduate level in international relations, and to advise MPhil students on their research projects. We wish to point one candidate with a demonstrable ability to teach Qualitative Methods.</div><br> <div> </div><br> <div>They will also have experience in carrying out independent research in international relations, evidenced by a strong record of publications in highly ranked, peer-reviewed academic journals and/or major presses and a clear plan of research to be conducted during the appointment.
