**Department**



The Education Policy Support (EPS) team develops academic policy, oversees
quality of courses, and manages external regulation of our teaching, access
and participation. The team also provides a secretariat service for major
university committees and manages student casework. The EPS team provides a
vital service to colleagues and students across Oxford by managing individual
student cases and offering expert advice to staff.





**The Role**



The post-holder will carry out core functions of the Section. They will handle
sensitive and complex student dispensation and appeal cases on behalf of
Education Committee, and will provide advice and guidance to administrative
and academic staff across the collegiate University on matters of education
policy and procedure related to student casework.

**About the Role**





We invite applications for this exciting new post to support student casework
starting as soon as possible. You will join a busy and supportive team which
manages sensitive and complex student dispensation and appeal cases. The cases
will cover a range of issues including: major adjustments to study for
disability, exceptional extensions/suspensions or re-sits, and appeals. You
will manage an individual case load and also provide advice and guidance to
administrative and academic staff across the collegiate University.



You will have good organisational and communication skills, a proactive and
problem-solving approach to work, and an ability to assimilate, understand and
apply rules and regulations. You will be able to act with diplomacy and tact,
and will be capable of building excellent working relationships across the
collegiate university.



This is a fixed term contract until 31 July 2026 and would be suitable for a
secondment.
