**About the Role**
* This is a pivotal technical leadership role for a highly skilled technical Specialist to define, develop and champion the University’s non-functional testing strategy. As Test Architect, you will lead the implementation of test automation frameworks, contribute to strategic planning and service improvement, and provide expert consultancy to projects and operational teams.
* You’ll play a key role in driving software quality assurance across the organisation, working closely with project managers and quality assurance leads to integrate testing excellence into delivery frameworks. You’ll also support risk mitigation, promote best practice, and influence investment in new testing capabilities. This is a unique opportunity to shape and elevate testing practices at an institutional level.
* The successful candidate will manage multiple priorities and continuous improvement initiatives, mentor junior testers, and share knowledge through training, workshops and internal networks – all while acting as a subject matter expert in non-functional testing.
**About You**
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:
* Expert knowledge of non-functional testing methods and test automation frameworks.
* Experience delivering complex testing solutions and understanding their organisational impact.
* Strong understanding of software engineering and testing best practices.
* The ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.
* Experience managing change and driving continuous improvement initiatives in complex environments.
