**About the role**



We have an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Paediatrics as our
Senior Information Governance Manager.





You will play an important role in helping to supervise and deliver the
governance, risk management and compliance aspects of Information Governance
(IG) and Security related activities across the Department.





You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with a range of regulatory
requirements whilst undertaking targeted activities to further the
development, implementation and maintenance of the Department’s audit, policy
and training processes.





You will be working in a growing department within the Medical Sciences
Division. The Department of Paediatrics is a world leader in child health
research and hosts internationally renowned research programmes in drug
development, gastroenterology, haematology, HIV, immunology, neuroimaging,
neuromuscular diseases and vaccinology.





This position is offered full-time on a permanent basis with the opportunity
for remote working, subject to discussion with the line manager.





This role meets the criteria for a UK Skilled Worker visa.





**About you**



You will be an experienced IG professional with management experience, who is
dedicated to helping to provide the Department with the best possible service
within the constraints of the University and this area of work.





The University Information Compliance Team (ICT) and Information Security
(InfoSec) Team provide oversight of data protection and privacy with the
support of a Data Privacy Coordinator in the University Medical Sciences
Division (MSD). You will be expected to oversee coordination with the various
stakeholders as appropriate to monitor and confirm that the Department
operates effectively within the frameworks, policies and guidance provided by
the University.
