Senior Information Governance Manager

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div><strong>About the role</strong></div><br> <div>We have an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Paediatrics as our Senior Information Governance Manager.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will play an important role in helping to supervise and deliver the governance, risk management and compliance aspects of Information Governance (IG) and Security related activities across the Department.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with a range of regulatory requirements whilst undertaking targeted activities to further the development, implementation and maintenance of the Department&#8217;s audit, policy and training processes.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>You will be working in a growing department within the Medical Sciences Division. The Department of Paediatrics is a world leader in child health research and hosts internationally renowned research programmes in drug development, gastroenterology, haematology, HIV, immunology, neuroimaging, neuromuscular diseases and vaccinology.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>This position is offered full-time on a permanent basis with the opportunity for remote working, subject to discussion with the line manager.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>This role meets the criteria for a UK Skilled Worker visa.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div><strong>About you</strong></div><br> <div>You will be an experienced IG professional with management experience, who is dedicated&#160;to helping to provide the Department with the best possible service within the constraints of&#160;the University and this area of work.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The University Information Compliance Team (ICT) and Information Security (InfoSec) Team&#160;provide oversight of data protection and privacy with the support of a Data Privacy&#160;Coordinator in the University Medical Sciences Division (MSD). You will be expected to&#160;oversee coordination with the various stakeholders as appropriate to monitor and confirm&#160;that the Department operates effectively within the frameworks, policies and guidance&#160;provided by the University.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div><strong>Application Process</strong></div><br> <div>You will be required to upload a CV and Supporting Statement as part of your online application.
