Academic Officer (Year Abroad)

The Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages are seeking to appoint a highly
organised and proactive Academic Officer (Year Abroad) to join our busy
Academic Administration team.
The postholder’s primary area of responsibility is on overseeing the Faculty’s
international agreements and year abroad activities, managing the faculty’s
travel insurance approvals and the awarding of prizes and grants to students.
Reporting into the Education Manager, the postholder will be required to share
expertise and work flexibly across the academic administration team, who
together provide a seamless professional service to academics and students.
Applicants should possess a good general education to first degree or
equivalent and experience of administrative support to a busy office,
preferably in higher education or a similar field. They should have strong
organisational skills and a systematic approach. An awareness of issues
arising during international travel and/ or risk management processes would be
an advantage.
