<div>The Østergaard laboratory at the Department of Biology is looking for a postdoctoral researcher in legume developmental genetics.</div><br>
<div>This post aims to understand hormonal regulation of pea pod growth. Through molecular and genetic approaches, the work will reveal how a hormone variant mediates a specific effect on inducing post fertilisation pod growth through its directed distribution and local signalling.</div><br>
<div>Moreover, we are establishing a research programme in legume developmental genetics and the candidate is expected to contribute to this process through assistance with developing genetic resources such as legume mutant population and gene editing methodologies.</div><br>

<div><strong>About you</strong></div><br>
<div>You will have a PhD degree, or be close to completion of, in plant genetics/molecular biology (or equivalent experience). It is essential that you have previous experience of working in the field of plant hormone dynamics in reproductive organ development and possess specialist knowledge in pea gene silencing and pea pod development.
