<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <p></p><div>&#160;</div><br> <div><strong>Grade 5: &#163;28,759 to &#163;33,966 per annum</strong></div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Oxford University Department for Continuing Education (OUDCE) is seeking to appoint a Senior Course Administrator SCA) for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Short Courses which is housed in the Department&#8217;s Professional and Open Access Courses section.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The CPD Portfolio provides short open enrolment and bespoke courses that are designed to provide high-level training and professional upskilling for individuals across a range of companies, for professionals in organisations, for government departments, and for research and academic institutions.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div><strong>About the role</strong></div><br> <div>You will be responsible for administering a portfolio of courses (which may be subject to change from time-to-time). You will provide support for the student lifecycle on these courses from end-to-end, including dealing with applications and admissions, on-course administration and handling post-course enquiries, such as issuing of course certificates and debtor management.&#160; Whilst you will generally focus on administration for your own portfolio of courses, you will be required to be flexible in supporting other colleagues in the team and across the Department, as and when required.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The normal working hours are 09.00-17.18, Monday &#8211; Friday, with an hour for lunch each day.&#160; During the weeks in which the CPD courses run, you will need to adjust your working week and work additional hours, in the evening, or at weekends, depending on the type of course.&#160; Overtime is paid at enhanced rates in line with University policy.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>This is a full-time (FTE) position, available on a permanent contract.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div><strong>About you</strong></div><br> <div>You will have significant experience of working in an office, with excellent administrative and evet/course organisation, skills, accuracy, and attention to detail, and an ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within a team. You will have sound judgement and an ability to adhere to established procedures and protocols, which will allow you to work with minimal supervision, while seeking guidance as required. Discretion and a professional and helpful manner in dealing with a wide range of people over the telephone, via email or in person are essential.&#160; You must be competent in a range of MS Office applications, and be willing to use technology to the full to reduce administrative processes. You should have a very good standard of numeracy and experience of working with data. A strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills are also essential.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div><strong>About us</strong></div><br> <div>The Department for Continuing Education is one of the University&#8217;s largest departments and every year than 19,000 students enrol on its courses and programmes.&#160; Our main areas of work are in continuing and professional education, and we engage with individuals and organisations locally and globally. The Department is headed by the Director and the senior management team which includes two Deputy Directors and two Assistant Directors. There are some 200 members of staff in the Department. Facilities include a Residential Centre (with a hotel and catering operation), common room, library, lecture theatre and a range of teaching rooms.
