**Senior Gift Registry Assistant**
This is the second of two more senior roles of three Gift Registry Assistants
with joint responsibility for accurate and timely batching and data entry of
donations, income receipts preparation, and the distribution of information to
relevant parties on a daily basis.

**About the Role**
This involves liaison with colleagues in the Development Office fund raising
teams, academic divisions & departments, overseas offices, colleges and
donors. The role also provides higher calibre IT skills in terms of excel and
query writing in DARS to the Gift Registry team. The position holder will
provide training to newer team members in the technicalities of processing
revenues into DARS, whilst they develop their capability, especially in the
areas of recurring gifts and transfer gifts from Americans for Oxford (AFO ).
The role will also lead on the DARS Gift Administration Work-stream projects
that will simplify and enhance the technical workings of the University’s gift
processing and recording system (DARS) by providing analysis of existing
system weaknesses and making proposals for improvement . Contribute to any
potential replacement of DARS which would be a significant project.
The role will also lead on the routine processing of recurring debit and
credit card payments, monitoring the OU Development Trust bank account,
recording all donations received by bank transfer on DARS and investigating
unknown items, record Gift Aid declarations on DARS and ensuring that copy
declarations are filed accurately and respond to queries from donors,
Development Office staff, colleges and other areas of the University in a
timely fashion

remote working with your line manager.
**About You**
The candidate will require strong IT skills in particular in excel or query
writing in a Customer database , DARS or equivalent system. Ideally possess
DARS experience for revenue processing and be proficient in data handling and
reconciliation techniques including experience manipulating and performing
analyses on large datasets.
The candidate needs to be well organised, able to operate parallel work
streams and achieve daily deadlines whilst maintaining good filing systems the
candidate will also require creative problem-solving skills.
The candidate will require good communication skills, able to work on own
initiative and take ownership of tasks and able to work collaboratively with
colleagues and share responsibility for tasks without conflict
