**About the role**



This is an exciting opportunity for a Communications Officer to join the
University of Oxford Botanic Garden and Arboretum.





You will play a key role in the marketing and communications function at the
Department and provide vital support. You will support the Department across a
range of external and internal marketing activities, working in digital and
print media.





You will be responsible for managing the OBGA’s day-to-day activities for the
Departmental website and social media channels. The Botanic Garden and
Arboretum runs a variety of research, education, public engagement and
commercial activities and the post holder will be a flexible team player who
can adapt to a fast-changing work environment.





This is a permanent, full-time post, working 37.5 hours per week. Job share
and part-time working (80% of the full-time hours') can be also considered for
the right candidate.





The role supports a hybrid working model, with the expectation of working on-
site across two locations at least three days per week.





Occasional weekend/evening work will be required as part of this role.





**About You**



You do not need expertise in plants but you will have experience in
communications and marketing with specific experience in website management,
content production, internal communications and digital communications.





You will have excellent writing skills and will be proficient in working with
the Microsoft suite of applications as well as Adobe Creative Cloud or similar
to create content.





Ability to work effectively in a complex environment with a diverse range of
stakeholders is also essential.
