The Faculty of Classics seeks to appoint a APGRD Archive Administration
Assistant. The Archive of Performances of Greek and Roman Drama (APGRD) is a
major international research project, which was founded in October 1996. The
project seeks to trace the history of the performance and reception of Greek
and Roman texts from antiquity to the modern day. This is a 0.4 FTE post
reporting to the Director and working closely with, and under guidance from,
the APGRD’s Archivist.





**About the role **



The post holder’s role will be to provide support to the day-to-day running of
the APGRD, particularly in relation to the administration of the APGRD’s
public events. They will also help to administer visitor access to the archive
collections, and help maintain the APGRD’s website, producing newsletters, and
developing its social media presence. They will also share some responsibility
for maintaining the databases and the physical archive collections, as well as
assist in the preparation of publications and research outputs when
appropriate.



The successful applicant will be able to work on their own initiative and
possess good attention to detail and organisational skills. They will
preferably have previous experience of working in higher education or the
heritage sector, good IT skills and be capable and confident in dealing with a
wide range of individuals, including students, academics and external
visitors.
