<div> <p></p><p>THIS POST MAY ALSO BE OFFERED AS A SECONDMENT OPPORTUNITY</p><br> <p>The Ashmolean Museum is seeking to appoint a Picture Library Assistant to join the Ashmolean Picture Library. You will be an important team member within the Ashmolean Picture Library, which forms part of the Commercial department within the Museum. Reporting to the Picture Library Manager and working alongside another Picture Library Assistant, this demanding yet rewarding position involves responding to all image and reproduction requests, both from within the Museum and from external clients based all around the world.</p><br> <p>Liaising with staff from all over the museum to find appropriate images or facilitate new photography requests, this varied role would suit someone who has excellent research and communication skills and a keen eye for detail, with a willingness to learn more about image quality and rights management and the Ashmolean&#8217;s diverse collections. You will be comfortable working methodically in a busy, customer-facing environment with a focus on high standards and accuracy to meet customer- and internal deadlines. You will be a positive, flexible and enthusiastic team player with a willingness to handle potentially complex requests with efficiency and clarity. You will assist the team in proactively encouraging income generation by identifying and prioritising commercial requests in order to meet annual sales targets, and will have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise your own workload.</p><br> <p>You will be willing to develop a good working knowledge of the Picture Library industry, from image licensing practices to client account management and visual copyright law by attending role-specific training, workshops and picture-buying events as required. You will have proficiency in using the MS Office package (including Word, Excel and Outlook) and have the ability to perform basic quality assessments and make basic adjustments to images, ideally using Adobe Photoshop and Bridge.</p><br> <p>This is a full-time, fixed-term post for 12 months.</p><br> <p>You will be required to upload your CV and a supporting statement as part of your online application. Facilities Technician

<div> <p></p><p>The Ashmolean Museum is looking for a Facilities Technician to join the facilities team who are responsible for running and maintaining the building, and to ensure that it remains fit for purpose. Under the direction of the Deputy Facilities Manager, you will be expected to take a leading role in the routine maintenance of the building fabric, equipment and plant that is not covered by the University Estates Services.</p><br> <p>The Facilities Technician will take the lead in carrying out routine repairs, maintenance and supervision of some contractors within the building. As part of the role there will also be general porterage tasks when required.</p><br> <p>You will be responsible for prioritising both reactive and preventative maintenance tasks and also responding to work requests submitted by staff in the department. Led by the Deputy Facilities Manager, you will be working alongside another Facilities Technician, Facilities Coordinator, and a Facilities Assistant. You will ensure work is carried out in a timely fashion and to high standards.</p><br> <p>This is a full-time permanent position and there is a requirement for this position to work weekends, evenings and bank holiday working shifts.</p><br> <p>You will be required to upload your CV and a supporting statement as part of your online application.
