<div> <p></p><div>Are you an experienced Postdoctoral Scientist with an interest in malaria chemoprevention?</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>The Infectious Diseases Data Observatory (IDDO), based at the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health in Oxford, is seeking to recruit a Senior Postdoctoral Research Scientist with a clinical or biomedical background to lead and coordinate research on malaria chemoprevention.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>Malaria chemoprevention is a new research theme at IDDO, which we are setting up in partnership with Malaria Consortium, the largest implementer of chemoprevention in Africa. You will be responsible for coordinating with key stakeholders for timely sharing of data on malaria chemoprevention studies, and for meeting project milestones as defined by our partner Malaria Consortium. You will determine research questions answerable from available data, and advise and collaborate with PhD students and other staff at IDDO in the Science Team on a day-to-day basis. Other responsibilities will include contributing to grant applications to funding bodies to support research in this area, to the production of scientific reports and publications for high profile journals, including taking leadership in more specialised publications and conducting detailed analysis of available datasets.</div><br> <div>&#160;</div><br> <div>It is essential that you hold a PhD/DPhil in clinical medicine or biomedical research, and have previous research experience. You will have experience, ability and practical success solving quantitative problems, and excellent and effective communication skills, both orally and written for presenting research results clearly, to a broad audience.
